Uncompromising quality and total rigidity-the CU 3005 is equipped with X and Y slides mounted on prestressed rails and ball screws. The vertical axis is formed from a solid cast iron prism, on which a rectangular sleeve travels along 4 rails, and is also displaced by means of ball screws.
All feeds use AC brushless motors with digital drive. The X, Y and Z-axes are equipped with optical rules with overpressure and reading to 1/10 micron.
|
The automated version of the CU 3005 is equipped with 3R floating palettes whose positioning is guaranteed to within 2 microns by the clamping system. The workpieces are gripped by a capstan clamping ring during machining to guarantee that they are held perfectly stable.
An optional horizontal spindle block, mounted to the right of the main high-speed spindle, allows for the machining of the stem hole.

A highly efficient CN-controlled cleaning system involving spraying, vacuuming and mechanical rubbing, completes the equipment. The CU 3005 can be equipped with 20, 30 or 48 Random-ATC, or stationary places for 96 tools with an intermediate preparation bay. It has a tool lengthmeasuring and breakage
detector.
